Kim Delaney, an American actor best known for her role as detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series for which she was awarded an Emmy Award. She is also known for her performances on the drama show All My Children Philly CSI: Miami as well as Army Wives. Born as the only daughter of a high-ranking executive in the United Auto Workers and a homemaker Delaney was raised with four brothers. In childhood, Delaney dreamed about becoming a reporter for the court.
