Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, also called Ari Lennox, a Washington, D.C.-based American singer/songwriter, was signed as Dreamville Records' first female artist for Dreamville Records by J. Cole. Her first EP, Pho which was released on 21 October 2016 was released through Dreamville Records. Her career began to grow in recognition. Shea Butter Baby released her first studio album on 7 May 2019. Ari Lennox first released her music on the internet in 2012. The singer released her debut album Ariography and her mixtape debut in 2013 Five Finger Discount. In 2014 she continued to release her music on the internet including her independently launched single Bound. In the year 2015, she performed on Omen's Elephant Eyes Album on Sweat it out on July 21st. J. Cole, who was part of the Dreamville team at the time, wanted to have her work on Rihanna references. She was officially signed by Dreamville Records on 8 December. Backseat was her contribution to The Revenge of the Dreamers II album. On October 21 2016 she released her debut EP titled Pho. Ari Lennox performed the song Change by J. Cole as well as being an opener on The 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017, in which she joined by EarthGang. Also, she was featured on the tracks Nothing but the Best by EarthGang as well as Icarus together with Bas and her labelmates. Ari Lennox's first album Shea Butter Baby was released on the 16th of July, 2018. The album's first single, called Whipped Cream The album's first single, Whipped Cream was released on September 5, 2018 with a music video. On the 9th of November she dropped two more singles: 40 Shades of Choke as well as Grampa. In November, 13 the singer released two new singles, titled One and Pdigree. One as well as Pdigree. Shea Butter Baby. Shea Butter Baby later made appearances in the Creed II album soundtrack alongside Cole. The singer released the single as a way in order to announce her debut album Creed II on 26 February 2019. The song, released with a video posted on YouTube 20 February 2019 has been watched over three million times over the first 7 days. In December 2018 the singer was a part of her From East Atlanta With Love Tour featuring 6LACK.
